Donor Group
Amkeni Wakenya is supported by a Donor Group that is comprises the development partners participating through contribution to or earmarking funds. Donor Group meetings are convened by an elected Lead Donor assisted by the deputy Lead Donor. Currently the Lead donor is The Embassy of Sweden. The Project Management Unit under UNDP serves as the Secretariat for the DG.
Responsibilities of the Donor Group
i. Give strategic guidance and advisory input to facilitate effective management and functioning of the Facility
ii. Endorse the decisions of the PAC (project Appraisal Committee) on the Funding of Applications from CSOs
iii. Discuss issues on funding levels or needs
iv. Consider change of development partners funding category
v. Review of priority areas of focus and to receive feedback from PMU and SRG as necessary.
