Settle IDPs Now
A civic leader, Mr Zein Abubakar has called upon the Government to immediately settle Internally Displaced Persons.
He said there cannot be free and fair elections if the IDPs will vote in the next General election while still in the IDP camps.
Mr abubakar, who is the head of uraia, said it was a shame to find thousands of people who were previously living peacefully and gainfully in their farms now cramped together in makeshift IDP camps.
He was making his presentation on supporting civil society partnerships to deliver free and fair elections.
Other key speakers included Kepta Ombati of Akiba Uhaki, Ursula Sore Bahati of USAWA/ UN women, Ndanatsei Bofu-Tawamba of Urgent Action Fund and Roseline Mungai of ACT Kenya.
